Description
Embark on a soaring journey through the skies to Dragonland, where we will encounter a slothful and avaricious dragon who shows little willingness to share, care, or play equitably with those around him. When he ventures to a new town, threatening to consume all the provisions, the townspeople are compelled to collaborate in order to discover a peaceful resolution to encourage his departure.
Guided by the expertise of Wolf Trap Teaching Artists Katherine Lyons and Elias Schutzman, this enchanting experience employs drama, rhythmic chants, musical instruments, and imaginative travel. Children and adults assume diverse roles as community helpers, crafting rhythms on tools emblematic of their roles, all in an effort to collectively address the challenge at hand.
“The Dragon Show” delivers a profound lesson on the importance of empathy, respect, and kindness, both within one’s own family and in the broader world. Through this enchanting tale, participants gain insights into the significance of these virtues, while embarking on an unforgettable adventure in Dragonland.
