Jumping in the Deep End with Jabari!

Description

Who loves surprises? We do! Join Mr. Kevin as he uses shadow and light to tell the story of Jabari Jumps. Jabari is an adventurous child who is totally not afraid to jump off the high dive. Well, maybe a little afraid. Kevin uses a hand drum, a flashlight, and home-made shadow puppets to explore what it means to be scared, and how we can feel brave. This engaging and theatrical experience will resonate with children and children-at-heart who love surprises!

Technical Requirements

10’ x 10’ clear area
Access to performance area 1 hour before set up
The artist will provide a sound system for audiences of over 50 people or for large rooms/gyms
The artist will need a power outlet to plug in the sound system
The room needs to have blinds or the ability to block the light at least partially
The artist will be in communication about additional technical requirements specific to the program
