Description

C.R.U.N.K. Academy is an intensive arts-integrated residency which utilizes performing arts (hip hop, parody, theatre, poetry, and comedy) to encourage self-expression, hone conflict resolution abilities, enhance public speaking and performance skills, and develop character. C.R.U.N.K. Academy can be themed around an academic unit or encompass themes that develop from the expressions, personalities, and unique talents of the students.

This residency can connect to any curriculum or calendar activity and is appropriate for all grades. It is also available as an extended after-school program, extracurricular arts activity, or character development elective. As such, it can be formatted to span a summer or semester-long program, or even an entire academic year.)

Pricing

Typically, residencies range from $2,500 and up, but we can use your available budget and ‘work backwards’ to create a cost-effective residency for your school. We may be able to assist you in securing grant and funding opportunities.

  • A kick-off assembly (performing arts only)
  • A required orientation meeting and planning session
  • A set of workshops for classes of up to 25 students each
  • A student culminating or sharing event
  • An evaluation meeting
Testimonials

“Drew Anderson’s creation of C.R.U.N.K Academy is an amazing vehicle to quantify emotions and character traits in a way that the kids can learn, apply and grow. He walked them through the process of experiencing each concept to become more self-aware and respond positively to their environment. By doing so, the kids were fired up and prepared for the two performances we did, thanks to Drew’s direction. Drew has created a great program, and I am glad to have worked with him.”

April Kersey, Teaching Artist Assistant, Summer Arts & Learning Academy

“Whether it was making up rhymes and raps about multiplication facts or reading a story and teaching characterization by acting out different traits and feelings, teaching with Mr. Anderson was active, meaningful, and engaging!"
