Let’s go on an adventure Around the World! Whether unearthing the mysterious treasures of King Tut’s tomb, gasping in the thin atmosphere atop Mount Everest, or learning to swim with piranhas in the Amazon River, this journey transports students to all seven continents and highlights interesting details about history, sports, animals, food, and weather in the context of geography. Presented by award-winning children’s performer Dino O’Dell, this program engages school audiences with humor, music, and lots of audience interaction. And it includes songs, stories, and an animated video presentation. Students also study landforms like deserts, plateaus, and mountains. In particular, they learn about landforms that are unique to the area in which they live. In the past, those have included the Great Plains of the Midwest, Chesapeake Bay of the Mid-Atlantic Coast, and rainforests and wetlands of the Pacific Northwest.
