Kofi Dennis is an Early Childhood Arts Integration Specialist who presents Family Involvement Workshops and Professional Development Workshops for Arts Professionals and Educators, as well as Residencies in schools and libraries all over the country. As a Wolf Trap Master Teaching Artist, Kofi has also led new Wolf Trap Artists Training since 2005. He’s a well-known Storyteller and Musician who frequently performs in museums, libraries, and schools. Kofi is a graduate of the School of Performing Arts at the University of Ghana and also studied Early Childhood Education at Komenda College, University of Cape Coast.

Artist Statement

“I always take an inspiration from the saying that ‘children learn best when they employ all of their 5 senses,’ to create holistic artful experiences in my teaching philosophy. Knowing that ‘there’s a teacher within these children that we work with’ even though they don’t know that, inspires me always to use those musical and drama strategies of melodies, imaginary travel, and role-play, to enable everyone to comprehend the essence of make believe.”
