Jamie is a self-taught musician, singer, and songwriter, playing primarily acoustic guitar and piano. Jamie has spent no less than hours a day with their music for decades—learning new, replaying old, relishing the more recent political narratives that sometimes fill their lyrics. Music has always been much more than a hobby, joy, or practice to Jamie. Instead, it is simply where they are most easily themself and most able to share themself with others. Jamie is a storyteller, activist, educator, and performer. As a parent of young twins, political and social justice advocate, and admitted pop-culture junkie, they’ve got plenty to write, sing and play about—for better or worse. Jamie’s life makes their music and, most certainly, vice versa.
