Ms. Cristii is a first generation Dominican-American artist from Miami, Florida, based here in Baltimore. She is a visual artist with specialty in fiber arts, painting, and the broad spectrum of fine arts. She earned her Bachelors of Fine Arts and her Masters of Arts in Teaching from MICA. Ms. Cristii believes that art involve beings, bodies, experiences and voices. The art classroom is about engaging in a collaborative conversation with a variety of unique group of beings: no student, no culture, no experience, no art class, no skill, is like the others. The art classroom is the perfect opportunity to have students notice and interact with each other’s ways of being with guided authentic art making that is relevant, introspective and explorative.
