Description

In this dynamic workshop led by teaching artist Natasha Mirny, essential tools will be unveiled to refine your storytelling prowess, transforming your interactions with students into captivating and educational story sessions. Participants will explore innovative methods to sustain engagement and focus.

Demonstrations will illustrate the integration of chants, rhythmic beats, props, and movement. We’ll delve into straightforward yet incredibly impactful storytelling techniques, facilitating seamless integration of math and science concepts into your storytime interactions with children.

Technical Requirements

10’ x 10’ clear area
Access to performance area 1 hour before set up
The artist will provide a sound system for audiences of over 50 people or for large rooms/gyms
The artist will need a power outlet to plug in the sound system
The room needs to have blinds or the ability to block the light at least partially
The artist will be in communication about additional technical requirements specific to the program
