Month of the Young Child
April is Month of the Young Child II@2x

April 2024

It’s not just Week of the Young Child–it’s a month-long celebration of early childhood education and programs!

What is Month of the Young Child?

For the second year in a row, over 15 Maryland-based arts and early childhood organizations are partnering together to mark April as “Month of the Young Child!” An expansion of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC)’s Week of the Young Child™, this event celebrates the importance of early childhood education and the critical role that the arts play to young learners. Indeed, studies show that the arts–as the most natural vehicle for play-based learning–engage and motivate children while promoting school readiness!

Programs + Events

We invite all Maryland early learners, educators, families, and caregivers to celebrate with us throughout the entire month of April!
