Audience members are invited to tap into their own creativity and musicality as they learn to become percussionists—using their bodies to embody the energy and style of Chick Webb.

Participants will need space to move their feet and hands, as they turn their bodies into percussive instruments throughout the presentation.

“Blacktastic was such a great way to celebrate Black culture and history in the classroom. Students got to see real people who looked like them who have made a difference right here in Maryland. The virtual format worked wonderfully to fit into our schedule, and I’m so excited to participate again next year!”
